The memory of Don Stokes of Ambrose, Georgia, who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 70, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Don farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Don is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Kay Stokes; and his parent Dorothy Stokes. He is survived by: his son Matthew Stokes (Heather) of Hazlehurst, GA; his grandchildren, Ava Kay Stokes and Kyler Livingston; and his brothers-in-law, Glenn C. Davis (Kay) of Westgreen, GA and Terry Davis (Sheila) of Ambrose, GA. He is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Broxton Baptist Church (108 Little Ave, Broxton, GA 31519).
