He was predeceased by : his parents, Dan Merritt and Betty Bostic Merritt; and his brothers, Frederick Merritt and Michael Merritt. He is survived by : his siblings, Bridgette Merritt Wampler of Ambrose, GA, Dana Flanagan (Jackie) of Douglas, GA, CeCe Brigmond (Kenneth) of Broxton, GA, Joe Merritt (Dedra) of Douglas, GA and Anthony Merritt (Patsy). He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, cousins.
