It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alpina S. Sweet of Americus, Georgia, who passed away on July 13, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband James Brown; her husband Ero Sweet; and her brothers-in-law, John Thompson, Sr., Reverend Lonnie Harris, Sr. and Earnest Waters.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert George (Sharon) of Springfield, Massachusetts and Reverend Don (Lee) of Fort Worth, Texas; and her sisters, Elizabeth Waters, Georgia and Mattie Thompson (family: Brooks Robinson). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
