She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Willis Rigsby and Jessie Floreen Rabon Rigsby; her husband James Emmett Mims; her daughter Cathy McElroy; and her siblings, Betty McMillon and Herschel Rigsby.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Athon (Ronnie) of Americus and Debra Mims (George) of Americus; her grandchildren, Josh Athon (April), Jana Cronemeyer (Jeremy), Christopher McElroy, Lauren McElroy, Matthew Mims (Lynzie), Colton Mims (Abby) and Caleb Mims (Allison); and her great grandchildren, Megan Athon, Isabella Athon, Olivia Athon, Addison Cronemeyer, Eli Cronemeyer, Piper Mims and Kember Hagin.
