He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks Edward Buchanan Jr. and Susie Bell Halstead Buchanan; and his brothers, John Buchanan and Logan Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Wise Buchanan of Plains; his sons, Timothy Edward Buchanan of Plains and Kelly Wise Buchanan of Plains; his sister Jean Howell (Russell) of Americus; his brother-in-law Dr. David Wise (Jane Ann) of Miami, FL.; his grandchildren, Jenny Buchanan, Cody Buchanan (Jaymi) and Cory Brooks Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Kenzli Short and Samuel Brooks Buchanan.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to a cancer charity of choice.
