He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wesley Cromer and Laura Jones Cromer; and his siblings, Sam Cromer, Julian Cromer, Harrold Cromer, Bill Cromer, Betty Cromer Grover and Carolyn Cromer Nicholson.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Grantham Cromer; his son James Wesley "Jim" Cromer (Jackie); his grandchildren, Mikki Cromer Lewis (David) and James Wesley "Jamie" Cromer, Jr. (Chealsea); and his great grandchildren, Sydney Kate Lewis, Hadley Lewis, Tate Cromer and Everly Cromer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
