She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Thomas Jones and Evelyn Edna "Rickles" Jones; her husband James Lewis Johnson; and her siblings, Sara Davidson, David Jones and Jasper Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Johnson of Senoia, GA and James Lewis Johnson Jr. (Lorey) of Arabi, GA; her grandchildren, Ashlea McSwain (Windham) of Hampton, VA, Matthew Odom (Olivia) of Gray, GA and Payton Odom (Mistey) of Pitts, GA; her great grandchildren, Zain McSwain, Ethan Odom, Abram Odom, Jackson Odom and Joe Odom; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Head Johnson and Duck'George'Johnson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel (142 Southland Rd, Americus, GA 31709). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Andersonville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cheek Memorial Baptist Church or Willson Hospice House.
