James Marvin Nation Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Marvin Nation (Americus, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifford Nation and Yona Dorothy Skipper Nation; his wife Ruth Lane Sewell Nation; his sister Ruth Nation Kirbo; and his close friend James "Pete" Arrington.

He is survived by: his daughter Heather Lane Nation Pasley (Ronny) of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Ross Nation Pasley, James Rhett Pasley (Taylor) and Anna Lane Pasley of Cartersville; his cousins, Jimmy Skipper (Diana), Wray Skipper (Elaine) of Americus and Luellen Webb (Richard) of St. Simons; his brother-in-law Tom Kirbo; his sibling's children, Tommy Kirbo, Dorothy McCranie (John) and Cliff Kirbo (Holly) of Moultrie; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Ann Fennessy (Mike) of Plains and Jim Sewell (Lucy) of Hazelhurst.

James "Marvin" Nation stepped into heaven on April 18, 2025 after a lengthy but valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease.
