With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Milton Morris Sr. of Americus, Georgia, born in Camilla, Georgia, who passed away on July 7, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Benjamin James Morris and Ora Lee Keaton Morris; and his brothers, Clarence Morris, Benjamin Morris, Bobby Morris, Billy Wayne Morris and Larry Gene Morris.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Young Morris of Americus; his children, Jim Morris (Sheila) of Fayetteville, GA, Michelle R. Outlaw of Sharpsburg, GA, Stacey R. Brooks (Barry) of Fayetteville, GA and Lisa R. Reese of Sharpsburg, GA.; his grandchildren, Alan Morris, James Outlaw, Rachael Outlaw, Stephen Brooks, Lauren Brooks, Brittanie Cotten, Ron Deavers and Savannah Deavers; and his great grandchildren, Stephanie Morris, Brook Outlaw, Olivia Outlaw, Lyla Grace Presnell, William Jordan and Logan Jordan.

Scott Vandiver wrote a sympathy message

“It saddens my heart to hear of Mr. Morris passing. He was a great dad. I remember him being a great example of how a man should be to us boys growing up. He taught us how to work on all our motorcycles and tractors., work and chores came first then we ride. We were all blessed to have him around for 95 years. Plenty of people don't get to enjoy their parents wisdom for that long. RIP Sir Scott Vandiver (Buster)”
