She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Chester Willoughby and Mary Chitwood Willoughby; her daughters, Anna Marie Moates and Jenna Lee Moates; her grandson Joshua Daniel Willis; her husband Dr. Hugh Lamon Moates; and her sister Carlene Shackelford (Roscoe Shackelford).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Moates, Dr. Ken Moates (Valerie Moates) and Karen Willis (Coach Carl Willis); her grandchildren, Rebecca Willis Morris (Sam Morris), Dr. Brittany Moates Sanchez (Stefan Sanchez), Christopher Moates (McKenzie Moates), Ashley Elizabeth Moates and Anna Catherine Moates; her great grandchild Henry Edward Morris; her sister-in-law Marilyn Pridgen; her nieces, Mary Jane Whitaker and Victoria Deaton; her nephew John Carl Shackelford; and her close friend Rosanna Borders.
