He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Rowland and Helen Florene Shiver Rowland; his wife Martha Dianne Dillard Rowland; his daughter Laura Rowland Royal; his son-in-law Chris Royal; his grandson Zachary Royal; and his great grandchild Jace Royal.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Rowland Ledger (Allen) and Jerry Rowland, Jr. (Dana); his grandchildren, Lee Royal (Tiffany Hendrix), Sara Royal, Matthew Ledger (Hannah), Bryce Woodward (Jenny), Jeremy Ledger (Ally Ledlow) and Braden Rowland; his great grandchildren, Jordan Royal and Jackson Royal; his siblings, Theresa Swan (Eric) and Danny Rowland; and his sister-in-law Carol Hambrick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
