She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Cornelius Wright and Rubye Llewellyn McKinnon Wright; her husband Harvey LeRoy Holton (Roy); her brothers, Jerald Wright and Wendell Wright; her daughters, Carolyn Jean Barfield, Margie Ann Mathis and Joyce Ellen McCrary; and her sons-in-law, Wayne Mathis and Andy McCrary.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Wolcott (Gregg) of Americus, Lynn Heath of Smithville and Barbara Legg (Johnny) of Andersonville; her daughter-in-law Sue Mathis; her siblings, Duncan Wright (Cecelia) of Florida and Sara Paul (Jerry) of Missouri; her grandchildren, John Barfield (Julie), Kim Cullifer (Matthew), Deena Britt (Matt), Leslie Pitts (Brian), Lisa Holman (Tim), Leah Bradfield (James), Brandon Wolcott (Abby), Dustin Wolcott (Taylor), Derek Wolcott (Sara Beth), Adam Heath, Kara Heath, Anna Meredith (Andrew) and Mallory Duncan (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Anna Kate, Jackson, Avery, Emily Ryan Cullifer, Fisher, Annalise Britt, Joseph, Sophia Pitts, Daniel, Dylan, David, Dawson Holman, Hunter Cromer, Kylie Deal, Autumn Bradfield, Madison, Thomas, Barrett Wolcott, Evelyn Wolcott, Baby Wolcott, Hope McCarty, Emma, Ella Harbuck, Drew Meredith and Baby Duncan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services (612 Reese Park, Americus, GA 31709). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Rehoboth Baptist Church (422 GA-49 S, Americus, GA 31719). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Oak Grove Cemetery Rees Park (409 Elm Ave, Americus, GA 31709).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Magnolia Manor League of the Good Samaritan or to Rehoboth Baptist Church, P.O. Box 641, Americus, GA 31709.
