With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Leon Underwood (Americus, Georgia), born in Tifton, Georgia, who passed away on August 27, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Leon Underwood and Lillian Henley Underwood; and his sister Phyllis Walker. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Adele Underwood of Americus; his children, Michele Leigh Underwood of Chicago, IL and Kevin Underwood; his daughter-in-law Mary of Birmingham; his brother Michael Wayne Underwood (Jan) of Plains; and his grandchildren, Anna Claire Underwood of Birmingham, Ryan Ward Underwood of Birmingham and Jacob Michael Underwood of Birmingham.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice.
