She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Jessie, Sr. and Mamie Shack Jessie; her husband Homer Lee Jackson; her siblings, Arthur Jessie, Eugene Jessie, Andrew Jessie, Esther Lee Thomas and Mamie Lou Ferguson; her parents-in-law, Mozell Jackson and Price Jackson; her sister-in-law Queen Easter Lassiter; her nephew Henry Daniels; her nieces, Loretta Thomas, Laura Thomas and Tasha Quarterman; and her great grandchild Jakesa Joseph.
She is survived by : her brother James F. Jessie (Margery Foster); her children, Carrie Price, Leisha Smith (Willie) and Anthony Jackson, Jr.; her grandchildren, Tanya Slaughter (Eric), Nedra Williams, Shakeyawana Jessie, Aayanna Jackson, Alexander Price, Jr. (Michelle), Willie Smith Jr. (Nakethia), Chasmon Smith and Anthony Jackson, Jr.; her nieces and nephews, Neal Jessie, Jermaine Ferguson, Anthony Jessie, Michael Josey (Shonda), Aubrey Hayes, Lauren Windham and Michelle Josey; and her great-nieces, Jasmine Jessie, Brittany Jessie and Janeisha Ferguson. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Eastview Cemetery.
