He was predeceased by : his parents, William Ballard and Elisabeth Ballard; and his son-in-law Russell Thomas, III. He is survived by : his wife Emily Ballard of Americus; his daughter Angie Ballard Thomas of Americus; his grandchildren, Emily Anne, Mike Strickland, Sara Elisabeth, Derek Wolcott and Mary Frances Thomas (John Farmer); his great grandchildren, Samantha Anne Strickland, Madison Taylor Wolcott, Thomas Ryan Wolcott and Barrett Oliver Wolcott; and his brother Kenneth Ballard (Donna) of Gurnsey, WY.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
