It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammie Harpe of Americus, Georgia, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mozelle Harpe. He is survived by: his father Eddie Harp Sr.; his siblings' children, Lakisha Merritt (Trell) of Macon, Georgia, Cedric Smith (Taneshia) of Americus, Georgia, Torris Smith (Kisha) of Americus, Georgia and Damian Walters (Sarah) of Americus, Georgia; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chanteria Merritt, Kentavious Flowers, Braylan Huckaby, Cedric Smith Jr., Shakayla Smith, Na'Liyah Merritt, Mariah Smith, Shania Walters, Malaysia Walters and Mazaria Smith; his siblings, Eddie Lee Harp Jr., Sanford Harp, Milton Harp (Keiko) and Brenda James (Clennon); his sister-in-law Valerie Harp; his aunt Mary Lee Walters; Bradley Gordon. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freeman Hill Cemetery.
