She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alvin Varnum Sr. and Edythe Ann Varnum (Johnson); and her brother Carl Douglas Varnum. She is survived by: her daughter Heather Richard; her grandchildren, Brianna of Americus and Benjamin Richard of Americus; and her siblings, Jane Rigsby (Leon) of Ellaville, Alvin Varnum (Linda) of Americus and Danny Varnum of Plains. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
