He was predeceased by: his parents, R. A. "Tom" Powell and Mina Powell; his son Danny Powell; and his siblings, Clements Powell, Rick Powell and Brenda Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Osborne; his daughter Rhonda Davis; his son-in-law Frank Davis; his siblings, Donnie Powell and Joyce Henson; and his grandchildren, Shannon Powell and Travis Davis. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
