He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Usry and Esther Stinson Usry; his daughter Cheryl H. Oakes; and his sister Juanita Gregory. He is survived by: his wife Beth Usry; his children, Barry D. Usry (Doris) of Americus, Thomas James Bowen (Tiffany) of Schley Co, Christopher Cooper (Kaitlynn) of Marion Co, Robert Holman Jr. of Americus, Mary Beth Usry of Leslie, Michele Shepard (Mike) of Port St, Harriet Holman Braden of White House, TN and Billie R. Underwood (Dwight) of Americus; his great grandchildren, Daniel Bowen, River Bowen of Schley Co, Daniel Gilbert and Michael Shepard of Port St; and his brothers-in-law, Lynn Gregory of Marietta and John Ferguson (Mikki) of Americus.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (1256 US-280, Americus, GA 31709).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made out to the Benevolent Fund at Pleasant Grove Church.
