We bid farewell to Bobby Hobbs of Andersonville, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Bobby touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Hobbs Jr. and Lillian Inez Grant Hobbs; his wife Alice Hobbs; and his siblings, Linda Simmons, Patricia Hortman, Marjorie English, Louie Hobbs, Grover Hobbs and Terry Hobbs.
He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Hobbs (Ann), Shirley Jones, Susan Tungate (Jim), Joyce Smith and Cheryl Dorsey (Larry); his children, Greg Hobbs (Kim), Chris Hobbs and Kim Dozier (Robin); his grandchildren, Shelby Dozier Eubanks (Brad), Ausitn Hobbs, Luke Dozier, Andrew Hobbs and Benjamin Dozier; his siblings-in-law, Gene Simmons and Tonya Hobbs; and his close friend Gwendolyn Bailey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson-Mathews Funeral Home (322 N Dooly St, Montezuma, GA 31063). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Andersonville Methodist Church (102 Oglethorpe St, Andersonville, GA 31711).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made In Memory of Mr. Bobby Hobbs to the Schley County High School Booster Club.
