She was predeceased by: her parents, J. L. Spring and Pinkie Spring; and her brother Danny Spring. She is survived by: her husband Errol Carter; and her children, Kenny Carter (Tommie), Kerri Carter and Melina Edmund. She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
