He was predeceased by: his wife Ingoll Faye Sumner; his brothers, Gerald Sumner and Ferrell Sumner; and his parents, Marvin Sumner and Myrtle Sumner.
He is survived by: his sons, James Michael Sumner (Aimee) and Gregory Scott Sumner (Anna); his grandsons, Justin Michael Sumner (Whitney) and Joshua Miles Sumner (Ashley); his great grandchild Tara Lain Sumner; and his brother Dale Sumner (Ann).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nobles Funeral Home & Crematory (85 Anthony St, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dunn Memorial Baptist Church (297 Bay St, Baxley, GA 31513).
