With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John M. Cook Jr. of Appling, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parents, Ruth Bell (Charlie) and John M. Cook, Sr.; and his sisters, Amanda Eidson of North Augusta, S. C., Maury Howell of Powder Springs and Dawn Chastain of Powder Springs.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Kiokee Baptist Church (2520 Ray Owens Rd, Appling, GA 30802).
