She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe "Rooster" Dixon, Sr. and Leila Thornton Dixon Surrency; her husband Howard Blanton; her nephew James Monroe Dixon, III (Rooster); and her brother-in-law Randall Beecher.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Anderson (Archie) of Athens, AL, Iris Blanton of Nahunta and James Kelly Blanton (Karen) of Nahunta; her siblings, Martha Beecher of Baxley and Jimmy Dixon (Sue) of Baxley; and her caregiver Lakisha Denard. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Surrency Community Bible Church.
