He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Shell and Kenneth Shell. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Lane Shell; his children, Ronald Kevin Shell (Joyce) and Kim Shell Poteet; his grandsons, Eli Poteet, Daniel Poteet, Wesley Shell, Matthew Shell and Zackary Shell; and his siblings, Terry Shell (Tammy) and Cindy Shell Crews-Morris (Michael). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
