She was loved and cherished by many people including : her spouse Claudus David Birdsong, Sr.; her sons, Claudus David Birdsong, Jr. (Paige) and Milton Miller Birdsong, Sr. (Bev); her grandchildren, Claudus David "Trey" Birdsong, III, William Franklin "Will" Birdsong, Milton Miller "Bo" Birdsong, Jr. (Hayley), Joshua Andrew Birdsong, Jordon Elisha Birdsong, Tyler Edward Birdsong and Thomas John Birdsong; and her close friends, Dora Nagles and Cecelia Powell.

“Love to the family. After Claudus' death, II was unable to get in touch with Sara Ann. Our fathers were brothers, and I have loved her my entire life. Beautiful and so smart! I remember teaching her to type when she was 13. She and I would sit in the swing on the Baggetts' front porch and dream of being married to Claudus and Lamar long before they knew it was their future! I remember her going on vacation with my family. So many happy memories!”
