She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Sloan Bennett and Mildred Frances Griffin Bennett; and the father of her children Denny Ferguson. She is survived by: her children, David Stephen Smith, Jr. (Shelley), Cristy Smith, Crystal Lopez (Jermerias), Dustin Ferguson, Franklin Ferguson (Kendra) and Amy Chum (Jose); her sister Shelia Parris (Steve); her great grandchild Misty Parris; and her nephew Scott Parris.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
