He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Lewis Deems and Clara Mae Ely Deems; and his siblings, Betty Brinkley, Patricia Burnley, Judy Sisson, Sonny Deems, Rayford Deems and Justin Deems.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Brinkley Deems; his sons, Paul Deems, Jr., Joshua Deems and Matthew Deems; and his siblings, Angie Chapman, Hope Deems, Ashley Williams, Jerry Deems, Billy Deems, Tony Deems, Travis Deems and Jason Deems. He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
