He was predeceased by : his parents, Mildred M. Poteete and Robert W. Poteete; his wife Eleanor Dalise Jones Poteete; and his sister Jacquelyn Ruth Poteete (Lindley). He is survived by : his children, Trinice Carmel Holden (Poteete) and Shalise Joyce Wrobel (Poteete); his grandsons, Robert Henry Holden and Mark Thomas Holden; and his siblings, Martha Gail Mitchell (Roosevelt), Billy Joe (Frankie) and Beverly Poteete McDuffie. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

We know Robert L. Poteete was a faithful member of the community and respected by many; at this time, due to Covid-19, the family respectfully requests people leave their thoughts and prayers at the Wright Memorial website.
