She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Avera and Annie Lou Avera; her husband Raymond Lee Powell Sr.; and her brothers, Ralph Avera and Ray Avera.

She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Lee Powell Jr. (Angel) of Bainbridge, GA, Christopher Torrey Powell (Shannon) of Leesburg, GA and Joshua Joel Powell (Marcia) of Arlington, GA.; her grandchildren, Marianna Powell, Marissa Powell, Dallas Rogers, Ethan Powell, Madison Powell and Harrison Powell; her great grandchild Garrison Rogers; and her sisters, Carolyn Wilkins (Edward) of Edison, GA and Ouida Tedder of Leesburg, GA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
