Benjamin Joseph Ivie Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Joseph Ivie (Athens, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2025 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Benjamin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Benjamin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Benjamin leaves behind.

He is survived by: his parents, Ronnie Ivie and Teresa Ivie; his wife Mary Ryann Ivie; his children, Ben Ivie and Mary Lauren Ivie; and his brothers, Andy Ivie (Michelle) and Jay Ivie (Kathy).

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord and Stephens Funeral Home (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the High Shoals Christian Church (110 Jefferson Rd, Bishop, GA 30621).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to High Shoals Christian Church.
