Betty J. Hoffie Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty J. Hoffie of Athens, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Clarence and Gladys Alma Balch Tate; her husbands, Bernard Stout of Arkansas and Kenneth Hoffie; her stepson Richard Hoffie; and her siblings, Willis Ray Tate, Thomas Tate, Jim Tate and Rita Czech.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Goldstone, Jeanette Voss (Hank) of Upland, Cheryl Torrence (Robert) of Winterville, Georgia., Robert Hoffie (Patricia) and Ronald Hoffie. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Maplewood Cemetery (1419 Maplewood Rd, Harrison, AR 72601).
