We announce the death of Doc Hudson (Bogart, Georgia), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hassie Mae Gooch and Curtis William Hudson; and his siblings, Dennis Hudson, Margaret Bradberry, Elmo Hudson, Betty Hawkins, Shirley Croy and Linda Hewell.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Carter Hudson; his children, Debbie Nelms (Bill) of Lexington, Stacy Smith (Rusty) of Bishop and Scott Hudson of Watkinsville; his siblings, Mike Hudson, Junior Hudson, Billy Hudson, Patricia Roberts and Rita Witcher; his grandchildren, Russ Smith, Jim Smith, Michael Tiller, Courtney Chancey, Kevon Hudson, Lauren Hudson and J. J. Hudson; his great grandchildren, Logan Smith, Sophie Smith, Haleigh Dills, Lannie Dills, Bradley Tiller, Annistyn Chancey, Kaiya Hudson and K. J. Hudson; and his pets, Maverick and Jaxon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lord and Stephens Funeral Home (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Bogart, GA 30622). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
