He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walker Howell and Julia Bradwell Howell; and his brother William Walker "Billy" Howell Jr. (late Ann Nunnally Howell). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bond Howell; his children, Jennifer Murray (Stephen), Lynnly Drinkard (James), Sandy Henderson, Ley Johnson and Jay Johnson (Michele); his grandchildren, Hallie Murray, Ben Murray (Kate), Casey Drinkard, Ann Drinkard, Fain Henderson (Addie), Mallory Hufstetler, Morgan Henderson, Garet Johnson, Gabe Johnson and Hunter Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Benson Murray and Taylor Fayne Hufstetler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677).
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
