He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fagan and Margaret "Peg" Fagan; and his brother G. Michael Fagan of Winston-Salem. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his son Christopher Fagan; his daughter-in-law Christine Fagan of Athens, Georgia; his daughter Jennifer Baker of Murphy; his grandchildren, Hannah Baker of Murphy, Mary Anne Fagan and Frank Fagan of Athens; and his siblings, Thomas Fagan of Madison, Connecticut and Virginia Boddie of Weymouth, Massachusetts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
