He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hooks Whitton; his children, Becky Lee Whitton and George Hooks Whitton (Meridith); his grandchildren, Tucker (Naomi), Carter, Reese and Meg Whitton; and his brother Robert Whitton (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
