With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Harriet Mae Hofmann (Athens, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Furstenau and Agnes Furstenau; her siblings, Rose, Burnell, Wallace and Jayne; her son Alan; and her husbands, Rudy Hofmann and Eli Ingram.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron (Cathy) and Mark (Diana); her grandchildren, Kimberly, Mark Jr., Stephanie and Michelle; and her great grandchildren, Sommer, Autumn, Luke and Josie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3655 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice Health & Palliative Care Cabarrus, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 in honor of the compassionate care Harriet received in her final days.
