He is survived by: his wife Cyndi Canup of Athens; his children, Joshua, Elijah Canup of Watkinsville, Whitney Canup of Winder and Alanna Cannon of Tucker; his stepchildren, David Phillips of Athens, Ian Deck of Tampa and Madison Deck of Miami; his sister Patricia Canup of Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Ian Bathurst, Franklin Canup and Lillian Ernst.
