She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Veal Smith and Elizabeth Hancock Smith; and her husband Douglas Harold Hubert II. She is survived by: her pet Sadie; her sons, Charles F. Elder IV (Kay) and Barry Wilson Elder (Donna); her stepchildren, Daire Munsey (Glen) and Doug Hubert (Melissa); her sister Faye S. Chambers; her sister-in-law Marie Hubert Moran; her grandchildren, Charles Fullilove Elder V, Mary Katherine Elder, John Collin Elder, Janie Elizabeth Elder and Maxwell Davis Elder; her nephew William E. Chambers; and her niece Kymberly D. Chambers.
