It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Michael Morgan of Athens, Georgia, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Vivian Pennington and John Henry Morgan; his stepfather Paul Pennington; and his sister Mary Bedenbaugh. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Lambert Morgan (Celanie Harris Morgan) and Jessica Morgan Phillips (Michael Phillips); his significant other Jan Morgan; his grandchildren, Emily Grace Morgan, Ellison Parker Phillips and Cora Morgan Phillips; and his siblings, Pamela Pierce, Butch Pennington and Sandra Johnston.
The Family welcomes donations to the American Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers.
