With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenny R. Smith of Athens, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Kenny shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Kenny farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie B. Smith; his stepdaughters, Marie Bugg (Walter Barnes) and Valarie; and his siblings, Julia Brown, Lula Kendricks, Loyd Smith, Lewis Smith and Gary Smith. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great granddaughter.
