He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cox and Josie Mae Robinson Cox. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Walbert Cox; his children, Neal Cox (Tammy), Greg Cox (Donna), Scott Cox (Christy), David Cox and Kimberly Reid (Antwan); his stepchildren, Heather Tucker, Sheila Mercer, Debra Bennett, Billie Jo Parsons, Angela Benosky and Daniel Mercer; and his siblings, Shirley Moon, Lois Bales, David Cox (Lynn) and Bennie Cox (Ann). He is also survived by his 24 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (1053 S Elm St, Commerce, GA 30529). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the Bible Baptist Church (211 Cleghorne Rd, Colbert, GA 30628).
