He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bowden Suddeth and Ruby Arlee Harris Suddeth; and his siblings, Kenneth Suddeth and Carolyn Suddeth McWhorter. He is survived by: his close friend Patrick Bell of Elberton; his daughter Jennifer Suddeth (Ryan Adams) of Winterville; his grandson Walter Eric Eaves, Jr. (Sherali) of Atlanta; and his brother Harris Suddeth of Selma, AL.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
