She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gordon Whelchel and Martha Rilla Rives Whelchel; her husband L. W. Tolbert; and her son Ricky Tolbert. She is survived by: her children, Larry Tolbert (Tammy) of Jefferson, Greg Tolbert of Athens and Sherry Minish (Tracy) of Houston, Texas.; her grandchildren, Pamela Tolbert, Tyler Minish, Carson Minish, Chase Minish and Hannah Tolbert; her great grandchildren, Hank Minish, Georgia Minish, Lucy Minish, Truman Minish and Gracie Minish; and her close friends, Nate Sanders and Linda Owens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3655 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606).
