He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Clarke Wilkes and Mallie Lee Goodson Wilkes; his brothers, Donald and Bobby Wilkes; and his nephew Del Wilkes.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Williamson Wilkes of Athens; his brother Delbert Wilkes of Newberry; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Wilkes of Newberry. He is also survived by Nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
