He is survived by: his wife Constance Dooley Bowen (Connie); his children, Adam Bowen (Erin) and Katie Hutton (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Emma Grace, Thomas, Abigail, Zane, Robert and Gryson; and his siblings, Gloria Drawdy (Dan) of Blackshear, Edward Bowen (Carol) of Dewy Rose and Joe Bowen (Debra) of Atlanta.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tuckston United Methodist Church (4175 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at the same location.
