With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rue Bloodworth Walker of Athens, Georgia, who passed away on December 28, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Freeman and B. R. Bloodworth; her siblings, Selene Hendrix and Richard Bloodworth; her husbands, Lee Bradberry, Jr. and Larry Walker; and her son Brad Bradberry.

She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Bradberry of Newberry, SC, Bart Bradberry (Elaine) of Dacula and Jeb Bradberry (Charme) of Athens; and her daughters-in-law, Diane Bradberry of Littleton, CO and Julia Hodges of Atlanta. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 111 West Lake Drive, Athens, GA 30606 or the Athens Y Camp, 1000 Y Camp Road, Lakemont, GA 30552.
