We announce the death of Tobye Keith Payne (Danielsville, Georgia), who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 51. Tobye will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parent Robbie Erwin; his sister Casey Jackson; his grandparents, G. W. and Sue Payne; his father-in-law Jerry Cochran Sr.; and his brother-in-law Joshua Cochran Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Amy Payne; his children, Brittany Daniel (Kellie), Megan Payne (Tyler) and Tobye Payne Jr.; his sister Tayler King (Billy); his grandmother Peggy Erwin; his mother-in-law Nancy Cochran; and his brother-in-law Jerry Cochran Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 963 GA-98, Danielsville, GA 30633. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
