It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ulysses Smith of Athens, Georgia, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Freeman (Davidson); his wife Julia Banks Smith; and his stepfather Bonnell Freeman. He is survived by: his children, Anissa Mull, Darryl Smith and Syreeta Leaks; his cousin Brenda Freeman; his son-in-law Michael L. Leaks, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Mikayla Leaks, Ramiyah Leaks, Lawrence Mull IV (Artie), Emmanuel Leaks (Mannie), Eden Leaks, Edvin Leaks, Charles Mull and Xalev Leaks. He is also survived by friends and fraternity brothers.
