Valerie leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Valerie’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Valerie will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Whitfield and Norma Jean Whitfield; and her sister Jeanne Eubanks. She is survived by: her children, Trae Cown (Kevin Van Voorn), Candace Schmidt (Eric Schmidt) and Collyn Sackett (Justin Sackett); her grandchildren, Will and Miller Schmidt; her brother Tim Whitfield; and her mother-in-law Adrian Cown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
